Rainwater Mains Water Back Up
The Rain Backup in a Box® is a mains water top up unit for rainwater systems that is fitted inside the building where the occupiers can see and hear it. It will top up the tank with tap water in case of sustained drought. The rainwater in a tank servicing domestic appliances should not be allowed to empty or the appliances e.g. toilet cisterns will not operate and the pump may switch to 'run dry' mode and require a reset - all time consuming and inconvenient.
This unit dribbles mains water automatically on demand when the tank level is critically low. This process can be seen though a clear window. Water regulations require a tundish or air gap to protect the main water supply from any possibility of contamination with rainwater. This product provides that security.
